Religious Eyes are Limiting Eyes.

May 26, 2015

Religion would limit The Spirit of God if it had a chance. Un-renewed minds full of religion limit their view to the physical eye. Religion can only see what the physical eye sees. How could ever be any other way…religion cannot see in the spirit because is a work of the flesh. Religion says..”we are the only ones”…or “only we have the truth”.

Notice the similarity in these two passages of the Bible, there is the disciples and Joshua coming to the leader of their respective stories, and asking the leader to stop people they had seen and heard doing the same thing they were doing. In other words..it was okay for them to do what they were doing (in one story..casting out devils and in the other one being filled by Holy Spirit and prophesying), but it was not okay for another group over there to do the same. Some denominations in our days are the same..they believe that only them can be filled of The Holy Spirit and only them are saved. Joshua and the disciples- not matured yet- thought that all there was, was their group: those whom they could see physically there with them. But God has His people all over, and even though some of them may not be in the same place at the same time (for a very short time only), The Spirit is One and the same, One Lord, and whoever is truly sincere in seeking This One Only Lord..will be connected not only to Him but to the rest of the people of God! 😀

Luke 9:38-40
John told Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name. We tried to stop him, because he wasn’t a follower like us.”
39  But Jesus said, “Don’t stop him, because no one who works a miracle in my name can slander me soon afterwards.
40  Whoever is not against us is for us.

Numbers 11:27-29
27  A young man ran and reported to Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!”
28  In response, Nun’s son Joshua, Moses’ attendant and one of his choice men, exclaimed, “My master Moses! Stop them!”
29  “Are you jealous on account of me?” Moses asked in reply. “I wish all of the LORD’s people were prophets and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!”

We see in these two stories that religion, flesh and mind always tried to stop what God was doing, the move of The Spirit and the supernatural acts of God. By limiting concepts like “they are not part of us…they are not followers…they are not like us, because they are not here following Jesus like we are…”.
Religion divides (tries to…because in spirit there is no division) and The Spirit brings unity and oneness.
